Excavation Support

All measures that prevent excavation walls from collapsing, such as Berlin-type shoring, sheet piling, bored pile walls, or sloping.

Excavation support encompasses all measures that prevent excavation walls from sliding or collapsing and protect adjacent structures. Support is generally required from an excavation depth of about 1.25 m. Where space allows, the pit can be sloped; in confined urban locations, vertical shoring methods such as Berlin-type shoring, sheet piling, or bored pile walls are required, in accordance with DIN 4124.
