Excavator with Operator Rental in Berlin and Brandenburg

Lula Bau GmbH rents out excavators with an experienced operator in Berlin and Brandenburg. Instead of renting and operating a machine yourself, you get the excavator together with a trained operator – safe, efficient and with no training required.

Our fleet ranges from an agile mini excavator for tight plots to a powerful crawler excavator for excavation and demolition. Depending on the task, we equip the machine with the right attachment – digging bucket, trenching bucket, sorting grab, hydraulic hammer or demolition shears.

Which Excavator Size Do You Need?

The right machine follows from two questions: how much material has to be moved, and how does the excavator get onto the site at all? In Berlin courtyards it is almost always the access width that decides, not the power.

ClassOperating weightAccess widthTypical use
Mini excavator1 – 3 tfrom 0.80 mgardens, courtyards, utility trenches, pool pits
Compact excavator3 – 8 tfrom 1.50 mfoundations, pits for single-family homes, grading
Crawler excavator8 – 25 tfrom 2.50 mlarge excavations, loading, demolition
Wheeled excavator10 – 20 tfrom 2.50 minner-city work with frequent relocation
Long-front excavatorfrom 25 thigh-reach demolition of multi-storey buildings

As a rule of thumb, a mini excavator moves 10–20 m³ of soil per day, a compact excavator 40–80 m³, a crawler excavator upwards of 100 m³.

Attachments Set the Pace

The same excavator achieves a fraction of the output with the wrong tool. We agree the attachments before the appointment: digging bucket for excavation, trenching bucket for narrow utility trenches, grading bucket for slopes and fine levelling, sorting grab for rubble, hydraulic hammer for concrete and slabs, demolition shears for reinforced concrete, and a compactor plate for backfilling.

What Determines the Price

Excavator class and operating weight, duration of use, transport to and from site, the attachments required, site access, disposal of the spoil, and how far ahead the date is booked. We rent with an experienced operator at transparent hourly and daily rates, and as a fixed price for clearly defined work.

With an Operator Rather Than Self-Drive

Renting without an operator looks cheaper per day. Across the whole job it usually is not: no liability for machine damage, struck utility lines or settlement on neighbouring buildings, no towing vehicle or licence needed, no learning curve, correct levels and slopes first time, and compliance with shoring and utility-enquiry requirements as part of our work rather than your risk.

Service Area

We supply excavators with operators across all twelve Berlin boroughs and the surrounding Brandenburg area. For the complete works rather than individual excavator days, see earthworks.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an excavator with operator cost?

The price depends on excavator size, duration, delivery and the required attachments. We rent with an experienced operator at transparent hourly and daily rates – for clearly defined tasks also as a fixed price including delivery.

Can I rent the excavator without an operator?

We generally rent with an operator. This is safer and more efficient: our operators are trained, know the machines and work quickly and precisely even in tight or demanding conditions.

Which excavator size do I need?

It depends on the task and available space. A mini excavator suits gardens, courtyards and narrow access; for larger pits, earthworks or demolition we use a correspondingly larger crawler or wheeled excavator. We advise you on the right machine.

What can I use the excavator for?

Typical uses are digging pits and foundations, trenching for utilities and drainage, grading and modelling terrain, loading soil and supporting small demolition and gutting works. With the right attachment we cover a wide range of earthwork and demolition tasks.

Do you also handle the complete earthwork?

Yes. On request you don't just rent the excavator and operator – you can commission us with the entire earthwork, from excavation and shoring to spoil removal, backfilling and compaction.

Will an excavator fit through a narrow courtyard entrance?

In most cases yes. A mini excavator with retracted undercarriage fits through openings from about 0.80 m and therefore through normal gateways. Besides the width, the load-bearing capacity of the ground and the clearance height matter – send us a photo of the access and we will settle the machine choice in advance.

How much soil does an excavator move per day?

As a guide: a mini excavator moves around 10 to 20 m³ of soil per day, a compact excavator 40 to 80 m³, a crawler excavator upwards of 100 m³. Actual output depends on soil type, available space and whether the spoil is loaded directly or stockpiled.

Do I need a no-parking zone for the excavator?

If the excavator is placed on public road space or manoeuvred across the pavement, Berlin requires a special-use permit or a no-parking zone. We handle the application with the borough office and factor in the roughly two-week lead time.
